This year many students from Royal Oak Intermediate participated in the Otago Problem Solving Competition. The competition involved sitting five tests throughout the year. Each test had five problems to solve. The first problem was usually quite easy, with the remaining four questions getting harder and harder. If students gained ten or more correct answers over the five tests, they earned one point towards an Academic Badge. Students who scored highly were also invited into the school Mathex team.
We would like to congratulate the following students for achieving an Award of Excellence: Ryan Palmer, David Wong, Jonathan Stuart, Julia Musgrave, David Wu and Tom Bertenshaw.
